ABOUT


 

Few years down the line in 2009, GYAC was established. In an effort of the World Bank Institute to tackle corruption, The Global Youth Anti-Corruption Network is a global network of civil society youth-led organizations working to improve transparency and social accountability for better governance. The network currently has 43 country chapters and over 1400 active members on its platform.

 

The Liberia Chapter of GYAC (GYAC-Liberia) is an alliance of civil society youth led organizations mobilizing young people to join the fight against corruption locally. It comprises of student activists, youth advocates, young journalists and other pressure groups.

 

WHAT WE DO

We mobilize and equip youths to play an active role in the fight against corrup-tion nationally through;

 Awareness & Sensitization

 Promote Accountability and Transparency

The primary objective of GYAC-Liberia is to mobilize youth groups around anti-corruption advocacy, awareness and sensitization with the help of innovative approaches through which to inspire and engage them in the long term to tackle corruption.

To create massive awareness and sensitization on corruption in Liberia

Create an enabling environment for youth to tackle corruption, in which the youth themselves will set priorities to inform the follow-up activities of the network
